About Me

My photo
IMAGINATION IS THE EYE OF THE SOUL Joseph Joubert. I am a mother of four...I still remember the smile that refused to go away for weeks after our daughters birth. To have a little girl appear after three sons seemed such a miracle. I have always enjoyed My Doll World, sharing it with Lara when she was little. Today I design knitted outfits for miniature dolls and enjoy every minute of it. The fact that the outfits are removable is what makes it so special for me. Using ever finer threads has opened so many MINIATURE DESIGN opportunities.

1:12th Scale Miniatures

For many years I wanted a miniature silver mug to place on a  highchair that I have.

Monica Roberts of Hither Thither and Yon was kind enough to buy a book on Ebay for me as the seller would not ship to South Africa

So we arranged a swap....

I knitted her some goodies and Monica arranged the purchase of the 2 books and the silver mug....

ONE BIG PROBLEM

The little mug is not placed on the highchair ....

WHY

Well as you can see the wrapping an presentation was simply so beautiful ......

I was loath to remove the mug and spoon from the card.
So the card sits happily in my cupboard amongst my baby things looking beautiful!

Enjoy
Sharon

  3. Sharon, That is the sweetest thing ever! I love the image and the cup and spoon look perfect. I have been loving all of your postings! Your cake from Ana is so wonderful. I am lucky enough to have a few of her things too. I am so upset though......do you realize she recently had a wonderful ebay auction for a little mouse girl like you have with one of your dresses on and I missed the auction by one day!!!!! I just about cried!!! I would have bid that up so high just to have it!!!!!! Maybe she will make another one soon. Oh......would you post a picture of your baby cabinet? I would love to see what you have in it!

    1. I know she had the mouse up on eBay, I am now trying to find out if I actually wrote that particular pattern down, sometimes it is good just to have fun.
Ana's attention to detail and the way she makes sure everything turns out perfectly is what I admire in her work!

  4. The mug and spoon are beautifully displayed on the card. I suppose it is also meant as a gift for a newborn baby, or christening.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Oooh ... see what I get for being away so long ... a wonderful compliment and lovely comments on the little card presentation. Thank you so much, but they are oh so sweet displayed on the tray of a highchair along with a little porridge bowl. Somehow though, all of it can never compare to my exquisite knitted christening set!
