I gave myself space yesterday to make a dress for dear Miss Mouse
A PROTOTYPE at this stage.
What Fun it turned out to be.
Having been introduced to Vera de Muis so many years ago
I loved the idea of a mouse dressed in real clothes.
My friend Ana has made the most delightful mouse doll.
I call her Miss Mouse.
Ana's ability to make the finest quality of miniature critters and
teddies is astounding.
See one of her creations which is on Ebay at the moment.
Item number:290615686059
Her ability to constantly push herself to greater heights,
and to be innovative is only to be admired.
Miss Mouse has arms and legs that move!
Looking through my photograph albums
I managed to find the photograph of the first mouse
I made and dressed.
It was in 2004, seems hard to believe, how time flies!
I sold her on Ebay
I realize now that I called that first little mouse,
Miss Mouse as well.
Her outfit was knitted in DMC 80 at the time,
ones taste and quality does change and improve over the years.
Believe me when I say, I love shoes.... and so does Miss Mouse.
Enjoy

Sharon.. How adorable and how very beautiful!!! Your work continues to blow me away.
ReplyDeleteMy mother was very good at knitting. Sadly in her day all there was was that nasty Red Heart yarn. She would have loved and been able to knit the patterns you create. I am kicking myself for not letting her teach me how to do it now.
Sharon, your creations in knitting look so fragile and give a character such an innocent look, doesn't matter if it is a baby, or a mouse, or if it is just laying down on a bed. Beyond the imagination!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so beautiful and the mouse is so cute.

Thank you so much ...that is such a very nice compliment!
ReplyDeleteThese little furry creatures in their knitted finery are too wonderful ... now the imagination sees a whole house of them all running about in wee stylish outfits ... aaarrrgggghh ... not a mousie boutique as well ... ! Will the possibilities never cease? Wait ... what about robins and hedgehogs in knitted jumpers and pinafores? I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
