About Me

My photo
IMAGINATION IS THE EYE OF THE SOUL Joseph Joubert. I am a mother of four...I still remember the smile that refused to go away for weeks after our daughters birth. To have a little girl appear after three sons seemed such a miracle. I have always enjoyed My Doll World, sharing it with Lara when she was little. Today I design knitted outfits for miniature dolls and enjoy every minute of it. The fact that the outfits are removable is what makes it so special for me. Using ever finer threads has opened so many MINIATURE DESIGN opportunities.

Start of a New Year

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year

Wish you all that you wish yourselves and many many mini's.

Thank you to all the new followers you are all most welcome.

I have been productive even though my doll from

Camille Allen has not arrived as yet.

I did the designing using the Sean doll and am thrilled with the result.

I won't be releasing this as a pattern

The pattern will be kept for my personal knitting orders.

I also got to making a crib turned out rather frau frau but not to worry.

I bought the carpet on Etsy!

Just take a look at the little cat how adorable is that,
My friend Ana Esteves gave her to me.

The very first cat she made after coming back from her classes with
Kerry Pajutee

I felt really special!
Thanks, thanks, thanks Ana.

Christmas

Two weeks ago I ordered my "Christmas Present" to myself.

The hardest part will be NOT TO OPEN THE PARCEL
until Christmas Day.

The question now is is will it arrive in time!

I can't wait to dress this little boy, he will have to be an
"Old Fashioned Baby Boy" disguised as a girl!
This little chap is 4 inches long so not a doll house doll.

A Camille Allen Baby has long been on my "Wish List"

I can just see him lying on one of my lacy shawls!

His little arms are not attached to the body so I will be able to dress him....
Leaving the dresses open down the back should do the trick.

All in all it will be a fun project to do over the holidays.

Enjoy and thanks for your visit!

SEASONAL

It was Ana's birthday on Friday so I designed a special Belly Button Baby outfit for her ......
I knitted the dress in Madeira Cotona 80 which knits up like gossamer...
I love the fabric produced from this thread

SEASONAL

Happy Easter to You All

My special Bunny with her Easter Bonnet wishes you the same and welcomes all new followers to my blog
Elly, Connie, Beatrice, Jan, Rosa, Miss Amelia, Olga, Ana, Morena
Thank you!

Taking her out the cupboard ready to put her in a box box which will accompany me to Cape Town, made me realize what my treasures actually are.
I am beginning to feel that my car won't be big enough!

I am so enjoying reading the blogs of miniaturists, you feel like friends somehow not just pictures on a website.
Great fun to see what you are up to and looking at blogs with similar tastes to ones own.
